Proudly hosted by Cardiff Mini Club — join us for another fun filled “Mini” adventure in aid of charity!
This event welcomes both classic Minis and modern BMW MINIS.
£8 per car (feel free to fill it with as many passengers as you can fit!) to be paid either before the day of the event or at the start of the run, with all profits going to the chosen charity and this year’s chosen charity is the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
As for the usual (pre-static show) event run, because of the expected higher number of entries for this year’s Mini In The Bay, we a currently looking at a different starting point. This will be confirmed in due course, as will the outline of the chosen (run) route.
The finish ...will (as ever) be in the heart of Cardiff Bay with a static show around the Roald Dahl Plas outside the Millennium Centre — an opportunity NOT to be missed!!!
Drip mats shall be provided for any leakers out there!!!
There will be a raffle and trophies shall be awarded to the best Minis, as voted by everyone participating!
Please note that although the start venue for this year’s event has been confirmed as the Cardiff City Stadium car park. Also note the we have gained permission for use of the toilets at the nearby McDonalds which will also be open for breakfast.
The suggested arrival time for the run will be (as usual) 9:00 am with the driver's briefing planned for 9:40 am and the run to commence at 10:00 am on the dot!!!
We aim for the run to take approximately 2 hours, so we should be arriving at the Roald Dahl Plas around 12:30pm after crossing the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
There is the option to skip the run and just park in the static show as long as you've paid, however you will not be able to enter the Roald Dahl Plas before 11:30 am.
Also please note that all cars on display have to remain static until 4 pm when the barriers will be raised and you (and your Mini or MINI) can be released back into the urban wild!!!
Important Notes: No animals are permitted across the barrage, this is due to the Rabies Law as we have to enter the port in the bay to access the barrage. Those who have animals can participate up until this point, but will then be redirected to the Roald Dahl Plas. Animals are welcome at the static show.
General Public is free entry.
Keep your eyes out for further updates as they're added. Information and contacts can also be found on our website.
